VINTAGE GERMAN BROADCAST GEAR - An Overview Of The Modular Mixing Console Systems
Much has been written about the history, technology and sonic properties of vintage German broadcast gear, and a lot of original documentation, as well as tons of pictures, are available online. Having gotten involved with it (not only by using several modules from different decades myself), I've always felt that what's missing is a general overview of the types of modules, the companies that built them, and the logic regarding the numbering of type and manufacturer. So this is merely an attempt to give an overview of it all. No pictures, no bells & whistles, just the plain info. (Might add some photos later when I get a chance ;-)
